USD Foundation President Emeritus
Ted Muenster has been affiliated with the USD Foundation in staff and volunteer capacities since 1967, currently as president emeritus of the Foundation. Ted was vice president for university relations at USD from 1975 to 1978 before entering private business in Sioux Falls. He returned to Vermillion in 1998 to become the first full-time president of the USD Foundation, retiring in 2007 following the successful Campaign South Dakota that raised $134 million for USD. He holds bachelor and master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is former chief of staff for South Dakota Governor Richard F. Kneip.
